World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol (This role will be a split between Working From Home and Onsite) is currently looking to recruit a large number of Systems Engineer subcontractors on an initial 6 month contract.
Hourly Rate: The Company are offering excellent rates
Contract Duration: 6 Months (initially and then ongoing and long–term thereafter)
Security Information: Please Note you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in the UK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).
Systems Engineer Job Description:
The successful candidate will have worked in the Defence or Aerospace industry and whilst not essential it would be great if you have worked in one of the following related areas: Missile/Weapon Systems, Combat Systems, Command & Control Systems.
Candidates with a background in using any of the following are sought after;
DOORS
UML
SysML
Matlab, Simulink or Rhapsody.
Candidates who come from a more Trials and Integration, Integration and Validation or perhaps a Simulation and Modelling background are also welcome to apply.
Ideally you will have a BSc/MSc/MEng in Systems Engineering, Systems Design Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent, have the ability to visualize and analyse complex systems, have good analysis skills, have good verbal, presentation and written communication skills, have practical knowledge of basic systems engineering principles and processes, be able to work with engineering teams, including in–house and contractor personnel, be pro–active and be capable of working on their own initiative with a minimum of supervision, have good working experience in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle, with sufficient experience of the total life cycle to ensure a good understanding of adjacent phases and through–life engineering issues.
Tools Knowledge:
Must be proficient and have a working knowledge of the following IT Tools: Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.)
Good knowledge of several of the following System Design related tools: MATLAB, Excel and with DOORS knowledge essential. Rhapsody and Aristisan, SysML/UML would be an advantage
