Location: Suffolk/Essex borders
Salary: GBP70,000–GBP80,000 plus excellent benefits and bonus
Summary:
A senior supply chain and procurement professional is required to join a well known global manufacturer to oversee all supply chain, procurement and sourcing functions and personnel. Head office role managing teams at multiple locations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership to a team of direct reports managing supply chain/materials planning, procurement/sourcing and logistics
Consistently exceed the operational, financial and growth objectives of the business.
Review, develop and implement procurement policies and procedures that are cost effective and meet business needs & collaboratively build and implement bench marked category procurement strategies encompassing "Best Value" and "Sustainable Sourcing" approaches.
Ensure supply chain and materials planning procedures are robust establishing KPI's to ensure key objectives are met
Lead the logistics team ensuring both inbound raw materials and outbound finished product is moving on–time to meet production schedules and customer order deadlines through high service 3PL partners balancing cost and service
Support and mentor your direct reports
Work with the Operations Director to drive strategic improvements whilst aligning departmental capabilities with company growth objectives
Ensure strong collaborative relationships are built with stakeholders within the group
Key Skills/Experience:
Extensive experience of manufacturing environments
Balanced career history across both supply chain and procurement functions
Logistics understanding
Strong leadership ability along with high levels of communication skills
Highly customer focused
Able to build relationships at all levels
IT literate with knowledge of all Microsoft packages to advanced level and familiar with ERP/MRP systems
Continuous Improvement mindset, able to demonstrate significant change and improvements within previous management roles
