We're recruiting for an experienced Software Delivery Project Manager on a 3 month contract to work on client site in central Manchester. You will need experience of working on software development projects, managing both new builds from concept to delivery and managing product updates.
Overseeing varied projects, working with this well–known brand you will lead projects working on consumer facing websites as well as internal software systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Agreeing and controlling the scope of a project or product workstream
* Managing a product backlog and prioritizing features as required
* Determining the resources required and ensuring adequate availability and allocation
* Weekly project reporting with relevant escalations to clients, the Tech Director and other board Directors
* Developing full scale project plans and thorough project documentation including budget information and relevant tracking
* Implementing and managing project changes and interventions as required
* Managing day–to–day operational aspects of a project
* Conducting analysis and progress tracking through liaising with stakeholders
* Planning releases effectively and ensuring adequate resources are available
* Ensuring service level agreements are upheld
* Liaising with clients and all stakeholders to ensure the highest level of service is provided
* Leading a project team of Designers, Developers and Testers
The Candidate
* 4 years project management experience within a software product environment.
* Proven experience in risk and conflict management & change management.
* In depth understanding of the software development life cycle
* Strong Stakeholder Engagement skills
* Understanding of a variety of project methodologies (including but not limited to Agile & Waterfall)
* Commercial and business awareness
* Capable of staying calm under pressure in a fast–paced environment with competing deadlines
* The ability to work with multiple stakeholders to turn a vision or requirement into something tangible and work out how to deliver it
* Experience managing software releases to multiple platforms including app stores and the cloud
* Ideally large system implementation exposure.
